- 1. SLIP INDICATOR.
- Only used when trimming the aircraft.
- 2. GO-AROUND light.
- Illuminates when the selected flight director has switched to go-around mode.
- 3. DH (Decision Height)light.
- Flashing when associated radio altimeter indication is between zero and actual
setting of the DH index. Used to indicate Decision Height in low weather approaches
and otherwise to provide terrain clearance warning.
- 4. SPEED DISPLAY.
- Displays speed command information in relation to computed optimum speed.
When the yellow ring sight is above or below the center index, this indicates that the
aircraft speed is respectively faster or slower than the reference speed.
- 5. GLIDE PATH DISPLAY.
- Connected in parallel to the GP pointer on the same side RDI and provides the same
indication. White pointer is off-biased when ILS frequency is not selected.
- Pointer is out of view, when below GP as long as input signal exceeds scale range.
- 6. ATTITUDE TEST button.
- When depressed a test signal will cause the sphere to indicate approx. 20°
right bank and 10° nose up and red ATT flag in the upper right corner shall appear.
- 7. EXPANDED LOCALIZER DISPLAY.
- Connected in parallel with the course deviation bar on the same sides RDI. Deflection
to outer indexes corresponds to one quarter of a dot deflection on the RDI.
- The bar will be off-biased when ILS frequency is not selected. Bar is out of view
as long as input signal exceeds scale range.
- 8. TURN AND SLIP DISPLAY.
- 9. PITCH ATTITUDE TRIM KNOB.
- Can be used to manually adjust horizon sphere in pitch.
- 10. RADIO HEIGHT BAR (red and white). (Also called the CANDYBAR).
- Connected to the radio altimeter on the same side to provide rising runway
display. Starts to indicate at 200ft and will touch the symbolic main gears of the
