- 1. DME counter VHF NAV 1.

- 2. HEADING SELECT INDEX.
- Shows heading selected as input to the flight director when operating in F/I mode
as well as in RADIO AUTO mode before localizer capture, and also to the autopilot.
Set to desired heading by the heading select knob, or by the remote heading select
on the navigation controller.
- 3. DME counter VHF NAV 2.
- 4. COURSE DEVIATION BAR.
- Represents a segment of the VOR radial or localizer beam selected on the associated
VHF NAV system. The bar displays the position of the selected radio beam relative to
the aircraft (represented by the white aircraft symbol). Aligns with course pointer
when aircraft is centered on selected VOR radial or localizer beam.
- 5. VHF NAV ANNUNCIATOR.
- Refers to the VHF NAV 1 on the left side and VHF NAV 2 on the right side. Displays
"ON" when system is on and functioning, "OFF" when system is off and " red stripes"
when system is unreliable.
- 6. TO-FROM POINTER.
- Indicates direction TO (as shown) or from the VOR station. The latter when triangle
apex points towards reciprocal course pointer. Visible only when on VOR.
- 7. COURSE POINTER.
- Displays the VOR radial or localizer course set by the associated course selector
on the navigation controller.
- 8. ADF POINTER.
- Red pointer ADF 1, green pointer ADF 2. Position 3 o´clock when no signal received.
- 9. GLIDE PATH DISPLAY.
- Connected to the VHF NAV 1 on the left side, and VHF NAV 2 on the right side.
Displays conventional fly-up or fly-down indications. Pointer is off-biased when ILS
frequency is not selected. Pointer is also out of view, when below GP as long as input
signal exceeds scale range.
- 10. RECIPROCAL COURSE SELECTOR.

- 11. HDG SELECT and SYNC KNOB.
- When pushed in it functions as a SYNC knob and can be used to manually synchronize
the associated compass. Cross or dot appears in the synchronization annunciator (12).
- When in neutral position, it functions as local HDG SEL knob and controls position
of the associated heading select index.
- When pulled out the heading select index is controlled by the remote heading select
knob on the navigation controller.
- 12. SYNCHRONIZATION ANNUNCIATOR.
- Indicates alignment of compass with earth´s magnetic field when cross and dot appears
alternately.
