EFIS DIMMING panel.
- 1. TEST button.
- The EFIS and associated systems self test is initiated when the button
is pushed provided the aircraft is on ground. The following systems are
tested - EFIS, ILS, Radio altimeter and Marker beacon.
- 2. DH set knob.
- With the DH set knob a decision height between 0 and 500 feet can be set.
Readout is in the upper right of the PFD. Any selection below 0 feet will
blank the PFD readout.
- 3. PFD brightness control.
- Turning the control clockwise will increase brightness of the PFD. Turning
the control fully counter clockwise, past the detent, will turn off the PFD
and set the ND on the affected side into compacted mode.
- 4. ND brightness control (outer large knob).
- Turning the control clockwise will increase brightness of the ND. Turning
the control fully counter clockwise, past the detent, will turn off the ND
and set the PFD on the affected side into compacted mode.
- 5. WX brightness control (inner small knob).
- Turning the control clockwise will increase brightness of the weather
radar information on the ND ARC or MAP modes. Turning the control fully
counter clockwise will turn off the weather radar information on the ND.
